To get the iPhone or the Android, that is truly the question! I’m not used to Apple products, and I will be the first to admit that I was a steadfast blackberry user, though it shames me to admit that now. I found myself in the two-year renewal period with my phone service provider, and I just wasn’t sure what to do. I’m by no means a technical genius, and the simplest of applications can confuse me, but you can’t fight progress…so I decided to acclimate myself. I ended up purchasing the Droid Bionic. My decision was born from a few different reasons. First off, I wanted a 4G phone, which the iPhone 4 does not come equipped with this via my provider. Second, the Droid Bionic had it beat in virtually every hardware stat known to man. Lastly, if any company is bigger than Apple it is Google, which should eventually dominate the app market.
Now that I see all the iphone 4 deals available, it makes me wonder if I chose wisely or not. I’ve had several user recommendations, many of them friends, suggest that the iPhone 4 is the way to go. I have noticed that texting is much easier, whereas I currently fat finger my texts more than I would care to admit. Also, Siri is a pretty neat feature as well. Google must’ve realized this, as they are releasing a similar type of app to the marketplace as soon as they can. In the end, it comes down to price for me. All else the same, the Droid Bionic was new when I purchased it and they offered little deals, so the iPhone 4 may have been more economical for me. The deals have increased on both sides of the fence, but the iPhone 4 seems to the be feature packed, low priced way to go.
