As you can see from the infographic below, debt is eerily trending in a dangerous direction. The year over year comparison shows an alarming increase in debt at a time when the economy is supposedly righting itsef. What’s even worse is that medical expenses, a debt that often is no fault of the person, accounts for nearly 21% of the total increase. Other factors like job loss, and increased expenses are still very problematic. All of these statistics are based on homeowners who requested actually help with debt relief year over year, of which the toal increase was 10% higher in 2011 from 2010.
